This, however, is not so for Papi Mabele, who is a self-confessed tech enthusiast.  A lover of all things digital, Papi Mabele is the founder and editor of SA Vibe, an online magazine that showcases the latest technology, gadgets, consumer electronics and the science that they are built on.  

Papi Mabele started out as a strategic marketer trainee which lead to him receiving extensive experience in launching and building global brands in the emerging markets. Having worked with some of the biggest brands in South Africa, Papi is a man who has his fingers firmly on the pulse of what’s hot in SA. Always inspired by the people he meets on the daily, as well as current trends, Papi aspires to be ahead of the competition and set some trends himself.

Having developed connection to the Dickies brand over time, Papi Mabele says of the brand “What I love about Dickies is its authenticity and the heritage it has managed to create for itself in Mzansi. I love how versatile its products are; I can wear them to work for meetings and take the jacket off for after work drinks in Maboneng.” 

An emerging entrepreneur with interest in Entertainment, Marketing, Telecommunication & Media, Papi first started wearing Dickies clothing religiously after finishing varsity but he says that Dickies has been a staple in his life since his early days, living in the Kasi, where Dickies was a brand worn by movers and shakers. Dickies, however likes to think of itself as the everyman brand, reflecting the workers of the world. The guys like Papi Mabele who like to get their hands dirty and be on the front line of what’s hot and popping in SA.
